LEADERSHIP THEATRE |
It's a great experience to plan and perform a theater in front audience as it allowed me to articulate my thoughts, my learning, my imagination, my message to be gets presented in front of everyone. There is saying that "You will never learn swimming until you dive into the water". Same is with theater as you will never learn from your mistakes until you start performing in front of others.
As our topic is "Violence in Life", I had searched what are the current issues faced by my team mates and audience, so that there you should be coherence between the topic and the feelings. As recently the reservation for Jat has became an issue because which all the members in the audience had suffer in some way or other. So we have decided to take this issue and form a story of person who is Jat but didn't get an admission in a college because they don't have a reservation.
For envisioning the play we had started thinking on grass root levels of a persons life how it has got affected due to reservation and how reacts due to influence in others to transform himself from a scholar to murder. We had also thought that the issues were sensitive so we have decide to present this topic with comedy taste add to it .The final presentation has exceeded our pre-production planning as we had been successful to present our thoughts in a way we had decided to present in front of the audience with proper expression. But there is a scope of improvement everywhere, so we had given time we had rehearsed more. So, I would rate our performance as 4.5 out of 5. As our presentation has matched our thoughts and messages we want to communicate to our audience.
As, initially everyone has their own thoughts on the topic and a leaders should admire everyone's thought and see the most feasible and viable one to opt or present on front of the audience. We had done the same thing too. Taken inputs from all the individual and frame a story which complies everyone thoughts and kept the story being flexible so that if any adjustments are required can be gets implemented. Its has been very difficulty in the given time frame to bring everyone to one consensuses. But some how, everyone has removed the resistance while given them the big picture or goal to perform the play in the given time frame
The Design and Production of the play has been done with given budget constraint and the available resources, so its a bit challenging but it has given us more innovative idea of using simple props like Handkerchief, Wooden Sticks, Chairs, Area etc. to use it in the best possible way to entertain our audience. We had learn from our mistakes as we have rehearsed 2 times before our final play which has enabled us to figure-out our mistakes and rectify them before the final play.
By letting other members (supporting casts) for achieving the goal which has been set by the team means letting them know the big picture which is to perform this play better than any other team in the competition we enabled others to act. We use to praise the person for his good performance during the rehearsal and also given him freedom to use their own creativity to bring emotions in those scenes as we has always kept ourselves open for new ideas. Which had also lead to create the spirit of Community.

- Responsibility and Confidence
- Leadership while guiding, evaluating, benefiting, appraising of the subordinates
In a whole, its a great learning experience and benefited me to enhance my skills and confidence.
